5 Ways Anyone Can Start Making Money Online As Soon As Today
Saturday, October 2nd, 2010

A lot of people ask this question all the time.

“How do I make money online quickly?”

My answer is generally, “You don’t!” You have to work for it to make it happen.

But, the truth is, there are a few ways to make money rather quickly and even as soon as today.

Here are just 5 of ways to make money online in no specific order…

1.   Sell something on Ebay. It “almost” doesn’t matter what it is. Maybe it’s something old you have lying around the house. Heck as long as you’re honest and say what it is you’re selling, you can make money on there. There are people on Ebay right now selling, of all things, “Broken Cell Phones!” Yes people even buy broken stuff.

2.  Blog for money. Blogging has become so popular and important in the eyes of the search engines that you can now get paid to, blah blah, I mean write about things you like, don’t like or stuff you know about. PayPerPost.com is the place to go.

3.   Sell your services. With the sheer number of freelancer websites out there, if you have a skill someone needs, SELL IT!

Here are places you can go to sell your services:

Elance: http://www.Elance.com
Rent A Coder: http://www.RentACoder.com
Script Lance: http://www.Scriptlance.com
Guru: http://www.Guru.com
Writer Lance: http://www.Writerlance.com

4.   Sell other peoples products. It’s called affiliate marketing and it’s a term you’ll hear bandied around the internet quite a bit. But… the fact is, affiliate marketing is growing in the billions of dollars of revenue and income made on the internet. Go to any major “affiliate network” or big ecommerce website like Target.com and you can find an affiliate signup link somewhere on the page. There, you sign up to become a reseller of their products and they give you a percentage of the sale.

You’ve just become their freelance or remote sales force. All you have to do is use online advertising methods such as Pay Per Click using Google Adwords or something similar and you can use it to sell other peoples’ products through your “affiliate link” by placing small “classified like” ads on their pay per click network. A person sees the ad, they click to the website you’re advertising and if they buy, you get paid! Even if you make as little as $50 a day, that’s a nice start and heck, it can pay your bills. Remember you have to invest money in your advertising but would you spend $200 a month to make $1,500? Of course you would!

5. Start your own website. This is probably the most difficult one of these but it really isn’t difficult once you know the steps you need to take in order to accomplish it. I can’t possibly explain them all in detail here but, I can give you a quick list.

* Get a domain name.

* Get a website hosting account.

* Get an Autoresponder. You will need one to collect the names and email addresses of your customers and/or visitors.

* Get an HTML editing software like Microsoft Frontpage or a free one like NVU

* Get FTP software. FTP means File Transfer Protocol and it is the best method to transfer files on to your website hosting account. These are files like webpages and such. Filezilla is a great free choice for the beginner.

* Get a way to process credit cards. You can start our with Paypal and even expand your business using all of their services. It’s free to join, fast and secure for you and your customers.

* Create a digital product, get the resale rights to one or sell a physical product. It really doesn’t matter as long as it’s something there is a need or a want for.
* Put up a page selling your product.

* Advertise and send traffic to your website.

* Collect your Money and follow-up with your customers!

I know that last one was a bit overly simplistic, but like I said, “It’s way too much to get into here.”

Keep in mind that these are just 5 among the dozens of other ways to make money online. Take action and change your life!

Lately I’ve been looking into more simple systems into making money online.  The latest one I found, I cannot release until I get permission because it is a “By Invitation” program.  (Sorry)

I’m researching more though… just one of the perks of “making it” on line.  You get to discover lots of things you normally wouldn’t otherwise.  I’ WILL let you know though.

Hey, I learned something else as well that I wouldn’t have otherwise…

“I came to the realization that after all the money I spent online to make it big… you know… all the wasted money I thought I spent… I would have actually spent over 100 and even 1,000 times more for a top level education and I wouldn’t be guaranteed a job OR the kind of income I now make!  ;)   ”

I think that fact is pretty incredible, don’t you?

Tell me your thoughts in a comment below… I love hearing from you!

5 Ways to Get Free Traffic – That Don’t Include SEO, JV’s or PPC
Monday, September 20th, 2010

Today I wanted to talk a little more openly about FREE traffic.

I think this will be the first of many posts about this topic so I hope you enjoy my “brain dump” here.

Here’s why…

You see, a lot of people out there – gurus and non-gurus -  alike all have tools and such that help them get free traffic.

BUT…what about people who really don’t have the money to have special software created for them?  Heck that was me
not too long ago…

In case you haven’t noticed I DO love the free traffic getting software out there.

The only issue I find is that many people who get them have NO CLUE how real traffic can be gotten for FREE in the first place!

Okay so here’s me being serious for a few minutes…

Traffic is the all-important piece of the marketing puzzle that faces all website owners and beginning online wealth buildings alike. Your product may help cure cancer but unless there are people reading your information it won’t matter. And to top it off, you don’t want just any traffic.

You want laser targeted, highly motivated customers ready to whip out their wallets and input their credit cards. You are searching for El Dorado. You know it’s there. You’ve read that others have found it. There is a path and it starts here.

SEO, JV’s and PPC traffic will all deliver targeted customers. These techniques require specific knowledge too lengthy to discuss in one sitting. Below are five diverse methods that you start to use to drive targeted customers to your site with the knowledge you gain here.

1. Join the world and start blogging! Blogging is an online web-log or diary that can be easily updated. Your readers can even leave comments or answer polls. Blogger.com, a large server based blog, is owned by Google. Another great blogging platform is WordPress.

Although there are great advantages to posting to a Blogger site you always want to have a blog hosted on your own site. Blogger will take down sites and sometimes for no apparent reason. You can lose all your data and traffic in seconds. Use Blogger to point to your primary site. This gives your site one more back link, another source for traffic and a reason for Google to spider and index your primary site following the links from Blogger or WordPress blog.

2. Join forums. There are thousands of people talking about your niche on any number of forums and groups. Join several and provide accurate content rich answers to their questions. Be seen as a helper, someone who is truly interested in the topic and the people.

Don’t spam or try to blatantly advertise, but place your site in your signature line. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the number of good customers you’ll receive. If people are motivated enough to join a forum or group to discuss their issue then they most likely are motivated to find good information.

3. Article marketing has been a topic of conversation for several years now. People seem to attempt this particular avenue and get discouraged easily. Although this type of marketing will economically generate targeted customers it is a time consuming job. The best technique to use is to post at least three to four articles per week to two or three of the top article directories.

It’s not necessary to post to 300 directories, just the ones with high page ranks like EzineArticles.com. These article postings do three things. You have back links from a site with a high page rank; you have access to publishers and your content will be found on organic searches based on the keywords and phrases you enter when you post to the directory.

(In a little over a month, I’m going to reveal something
absolutely incredible about this.  Hold tight till then… something AMAZING is on the horizon!)

4. Viral marketing has a mystique about it. The first site that accidentally took real advantage of this method was Interview With God. The owner of the site published a public domain poem on the net just a couple of months before 9/11. His site was ‘discovered’ by many people who took solace from the poetry and began sending the site to all of their friends. The rest was history. The essence of viral marketing is sharing information with people you know.

There are several avenues open to you and even more if you use your imagination. You can take advantage of social networking sites and social bookmarking sites where you can share your information with all of your new ‘friends’. Tell a friend scripts on your site can encourage your current visitors to tell their friends. You’ll find that people will tell their friends if your site is funny, touching or if you offer incentive. Another technique is to offer free information through ebooks with links back to your site.

5.  Answer sites. Do you have expert knowledge on a particular subject that relates to your website and business? You not only can share that knowledge in groups and forums but also by using answer sites through Yahoo Answers or eHow.com. In these arenas people post questions and others post answers. People who read the answers rate them. Your site gets traffic when people perceive that you are giving high quality answers.

You have the knowledge to drive traffic to your site. This may not be the flood of traffic that dreams are made of but they are targeted customers, the most important kind of traffic. As your skill using these techniques improves so will the number of buying customers visiting your site. And isn’t that the point?

With that said, there are literally TONS of other ways to generate free targeted traffic without special software or “super-hero” abilities like many of the experts online will have you believe.

Many require a little work, many require a lot of work.  So what?

But the truth of the matter is… the end result is you WILL profit and benefit from that work for a long time to come.

In fact, in the coming days and weeks I’ll be exposing quite a few tools, tricks and strategies that will help you get free and low cost traffic.

I really hope this list helps you think about things a little more in depth and at least gets you started.

Remember this is just a “brief” overview of these strategies.

What do YOU think?  Anything interesting you want to share?  Post your comment below…

Love and Peace,
John

Hot Tips to Get Your Articles Read
Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

A lot of affiliates are asking me how to write an effective article that can catch reader’s attention. I’ve shared some of my tips to them and I’d like to share it to all of you who are following my blog too!

Articles have to be written to be read. It’s just a matter of making them good. Making a good article doesn’t have to be strenuous and straining. There are just some points needed to be reminded of and some guides to follow. Once you get the hang of it, writing articles could be fun, as well as profitable for you and your site.

Writing articles must be about something you know about, that’s why if you own a site, you probably is knowledgeable about that certain topic and theme. When you write about it, you won’t have a hard time because you already know what it is and what it’s about. It’s just a matter of making your articles creative and interesting.

To make sure that you’ll capture the minds of your readers making them visit your site again because you have great contents, here are some tips:

1.) Use short paragraphs. When your article‘s paragraph are very long, the words get jumbled in the mind of the reader by just looking at it. It can get quite confusing and too much of a hard work to read. The reader will just quickly disregard the paragraph and move on to much easier to read articles that are good to look at as well as read. Paragraphs can be a single sentence, sometimes even a single word!

2) Make use of numbers or bullets. As each point is stressed out, numbers and bullets can quickly make the point easy to remember and digest. As each point, tip, guide or method is started with a bullet or point, readers will know that this is where the tips start and ends. Format your bullets and numbers with indentations so that your article won’t look like a single block of square paragraphs. Add a little bit of flair and pizzazz to your articles shape.

Utilize figures when necessary and not just ordinary statements. Using specific facts and figures can heighten your article because it makes it authoritative. But do not make it too formal, it should be light and easy for them. Like a friendly teacher having a little chat with an eager student :)

3. Provide a good attention-grabbing title or header. If your title can entice a person’s curiosity you’re already halfway in getting a person to read your article. Use statements and questions that utilize keywords that people are looking for. Provide titles or headers that describe your articles content but should also be short and concise.

You could also use titles that can command people, for example, “Make her yours in six easy Ways”. These types of titles reach out to a person’s emotion and make them interested.

4. Use Sub-headings to sub-divide your paragraphs in the page. Doing this will break each point into sections but still would be incorporated into one whole article. It would also be easy for the reader to move on from one point to another. The transition would be smooth and easy. You will never lose your readers attention as well as the point and direction to where the article is going.

5. Keep them interested from start to finish. From your opening paragraph, use real life situations that can be adopted by the reader. There’s nothing like the reader feeling you! Use good descriptions and metaphors to drive in your point, just don’t over do it. Driving your examples with graphic metaphors and similes would make it easy for them to imagine what you are talking about. Making the experience pleasurable and enjoyable for them.

So there it goes! I don’t apply those five tips in an article all the time.  It does depend on what type of article you are writing or how long the article is but one thing matters most, you just need to GRAB their ATTENTION!

Writer’s Block: Hindrance to Article Writing
Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

My post today is something that we can use when we’re writing our own articles. I know there must be a lot of times when you have your creative juice flowing and you just have a good time writing but other times, we just stare at our monitor for minutes to pass (or sometimes even hours) and we can’t think of something useful to write!  Yeah, I hear ya!  These are the times when we have what they call, “The Writer’s Block”.  When we are in the affiliate business, writing our own articles is essential for our business to survive online.

The possible reasons for writer’s block are endless: fear, anxiety, a life change, the end of a project, the beginning of a project…almost anything, it seems, can cause that particular feeling of fear and frustration. Well, you can always outsource this task and have someone write good articles for you but if you’re the one who knows how to capture the interest of your readers and get them to keep on reading, why not write them yourself? Or you might be a start-up affiliate marketer and doesn’t have much budget for outsourcing. Then you don’t have much options, do you?

Putting words into images in the readers mind is an art. A clear and crisp depiction requires a certain flair that only creativity can provide. Similes and metaphors may help a lot, but the way an article gets entwined word for word, sentence by sentence then paragraph by paragraph into a whole masterpiece develops the essence of the article.

So just what do you have to do when nothing comes to mind? There are no surefire ways to get the perfect ideas but there are easy ways to get your creative juices flowing. No one can guarantee you of having the perfect mindset but many methods may aid you in achieving that state of mind. Here are five easy ways for that:

1) Keep a journal with you always. Ideas can be triggered by anything you may hear, see, or smell. Your senses are your radar in finding great ideas. Write all of them into a journal and keep it with you for future reference. You may also write down anything that you have read or heard, someone’s ideas could be used to develop your own ideas and this is not stealing. Remember that ideas and creativity can come from anywhere; it’s the development of the idea that makes it unique.

2) Relax, relax, relax.  Take time to sort things out. A jumbled mind cannot create any space for new ideas. You must have a clear mind if you wish to have your creativity in full speed. Get rid of all obstacles that can be a hindrance to your creativity. If you are bothered by something, you cannot force your mind to stay focused.

Try to relax every time you think about your experiences and interactions with others. Your experiences are what shape your mindset and your opinions which could be reflected on your writings. Try to discover yourself, find out what triggers your emotions. Discover what inspires you and what ticks you off. You can use these emotions to help you in expressing yourself and your ideas, with this you can grow creatively.

3) Create a working place that can inspire your creativeness. Your working place can be quite a hindrance if it doesn’t make you feel happy or relaxed. Creativity comes from being in a good state of mind and a messed up workplace that causes distraction won’t be conducive in firing up your creative flow.

Surround your working place with objects that makes you happy and relaxed. You may put up pictures, or scents, objects that inspire, or anything that can get your creativeness cranking. A clean and well organized workplace also rids of distractions and unwanted hindrances. With a good working place, you can work in peace and never notice the time pass by.

4) Set the mood. Setting the mood requires you to just go with the moment or to induce your self to feeling what makes your mind works best. Finding out what makes you tick could help you find ways to get your creative juices flowing. Set the pace and tempo for your mood and everything else will follow.

There are many ways to set the mood. Some writers have been known to use alcohol, a little sip of wine to stir up the imagination. Some would like some mood music while others let the lighting of the environment create the mood.

5) Go on a getaway and just do something like crazy. Letting yourself go and have fun produces adrenaline that can make your imagination go wild. Take an adventure or a solemn hike. Whatever it is that is unusual from your daily routine can take the rut out of your schedule. In no time at all, your creativeness will make use of that experience and get your imagination to go on overdrive.

So there you go, I personally prefer the last one.  I love adventure.  After every hustle and bustle in the business world, it’s good to take your time alone or with friends and family and just have fun.  After you read this, I would most certainly hope that you’ll have more ideas than this post can give you on how to get back on track when writing articles.

DIY: Articles for Article Marketing
Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

Through the recent years many people have learned the secrets of Search Engine Optimization. More and more sites have seen the effects articles have done for the traffic of their sites. Some have even created sites devoted entirely to providing articles that could be read by their website visitors and have links that could lead to many sites that are related to the topics and subjects of the articles.

Now, article writing can be daunting and downright difficult  but the fruits of your effort is astounding! Though I am not a master writer, I will share some helpful tips in writing your own articles.

When you’re into article marketing, there are two things that you should consider when writing your articles.  These are the outline of your article, including content and of course, the resource box.

An outline can act as the design or blueprint for your article. This will guide you in creating the introduction, body and conclusion of your article. Here at this point, you can write down some of the ideas and sentences that you feel will look good in your article. This could be some of the focal point that could help make your article creative, interesting and appealing to a reader.

A carefully planned and fully prepared project would guarantee and ensure a problem and worry free procedure that can virtually go without any hassles. Creating an outline for all your articles will get you ready and breeze through writing an article in no time at all.  Here I will provide you with some tips and guidelines in how to create an outline for all of your articles:

*Do a couple of brainstorming and jot down your brilliant ideas first.

*Think of some ways to attract the interest of your reader.

*Designate a time frame where you can write down all the ideas that you can use for your articles. By this time you should have done all your research and information searching.

*Review and reread your ideas and notes, gain mastery and sufficient familiarity with your topic so that writing them down later on would be easy for you.

*The next step is to discover your sub topic and sub titles. As you would provide a first sentence for your article, one that would immediately grab the attention of your reader, you would need some as well for your sub topics. To be concise, you would need to get all the facts that will support and go against your point.

These are the frames or skeleton of your article, now its time to add the flesh and the meat of your article. You will need to connect all your paragraphs and sub topics.  This will form the body.  While the introduction will usher in the ideas of your paragraph, you will need a conclusion.  The conclusion will wrap up your points and drive in what you are saying in your article.

The outline for your article would also require you to write a draft first. This may take more than one attempt but remember that it is called a draft for a reason. Your outline shall be perfected as each draft is written and this draft is meant for your eyes only so there’s no reason to feel ashamed. As you go on, you will clearly see the bigger picture and write an article that will perfectly suit what is demanded of it.

Reread and reread what you have written down. Always refer to your outline so that you wont drift away from what you had first written down. Its not hard to be caught in the moment and get lost in your writing frenzy. Your outline will help you keep in track. All those hours spent in outlining your article will not go to waste. This will serve as your guide in writing articles. Trust and rely on your outline because this will prove to be a very helpful tool in writing all of your articles.

A resource box is what you usually find at the end of an article. They will contain the name of the author, a brief description of the author, a brief description of the sponsoring site and a link. If a reader likes what they read, they would have the tendency to find out where the article came from to read more. The resource box will be their link to the source of the article and this will entice them to go to the site and do some more reading or research for the topic they are interested in.

But like the article itself, the resource box must also be eye-catching to demand the attention and interest of the reader. While the resource box encompasses only a small space, providing the right keywords and content for your resource box will provide more prodding for the reader to go to your site.

So what would be a good content for your resource box? Basically it is keywords, learning about the proper keywords that people are mainly searching for.  Try to catch the attention of your readers with resource box content that can make them give a second look.  Unlike TV ads, you don’t have visual aids to drive your point in.  But you do have the power of imagination of a reader.  With the right content, you can make them think and be intrigued.

Make the people click your resource box by providing resource box content that makes a lasting impression. You only get one chance to wow them and hundreds of chances to repulse them. Never underestimate the power of the resource box in your articles. It may be small in size but they will provide a significant aid in driving traffic to your site.

So there, I hope after these tips, you are all so excited to write your very own articles so you can start marketing.

The Importance of Keywords in Article Marketing
Thursday, August 5th, 2010

I have been mentioning on my posts before that keywords are very important.  For beginners, I’d like to discuss on this post on what their importance are and how they can help when you’re doing article marketing.  One of the primary errors that people make in including the right keywords is not understanding what is actually involved.

Search engines have these constantly changing algorithms to measure the ranking of a site therefore, you need to make sure that your keyword rich article is optimized properly for maximum effect.

What is a Keyword?

A keyword is a word that is going to be placed in your article several times, not just once as that would make every word a keyword. When a spider sees that you have a word placed several times in an article, it will determine that your page may be useful to users that search for such a keyword.

To truly maximize the effect of any optimized article, you should be aiming to have a keyword usage of between 2-4%. This is widely regarded as the optimum figure for the most effective use of keywords. So, if your article is 500 words, you want to have between 10-20 keywords in the content.

Over Optimizing Your Articles

It is important to note that there is also such a thing as over optimizing your articles for particular words, this is known as “keyword stuffing”. When you stuff keywords in an article, a spider will detect that you are trying to trick it into placing your article high in the search engine results for that word and will instead penalize your site and your page for doing such.

This may even affect the rankings of your other pages or get your site blacklisted from a particular search engine if you are found keyword stuffing too many times. Always remember that overloading a web page with keywords isn’t the answer – if anything, it will dilute the strength of the keywords in the article itself.

What is Keyword Density?

This is also known as Keyword Percentage. It is how many times your keyword is placed in your article. Most use a percentage to determine how many times they will put a keyword in an article. You can find hundreds of resources and guides recommending one keyword density over another and the reasons behind the logic, however, in the end you will have to determine which density is more profitable for your articles. Each webmaster has their own density that they like to achieve based on past results.

No matter what exact density you choose, it is important to place keywords so that there are more at the beginning and at the end to produce an hour glass effect. Having the right keyword density in your article makes it more likely that you will make money off of that article because it will rise in the search engine results and be seen by more people.

I have been mentioning on my posts before that keywords are very important.

For beginners, I’d like to discuss on this post on what their importance are and

how they can help when you’re doing article marketing.  One of the primary

errors that people make in including the right keywords is not understanding

what is actually involved. Search engines have these constantly changing

algorithms to measure the ranking of a site therefore, you need to make sure

that your keyword rich article is optimized properly for maximum effect.

What is a Keyword?

A keyword is a word that is going to be placed in your article several times,

not just once as that would make every word a keyword. When a spider sees

that you have a word placed several times in an article, it will determine that

your page may be useful to users that search for such a keyword.

To truly maximize the effect of any optimized article, you should be aiming to

have a keyword usage of between 2-4%. This is widely regarded as the

optimum figure for the most effective use of keywords. So, if your article is

500 words, you want to have between 10-20 keywords in the content.

It is important to note that there is also such a thing as over optimizing your

Driving Traffic to Your Website: Article Marketing or Google Adwords?
Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

The importance of attracting highly targeted traffic to your website cannot be overemphasized. Routing traffic to your website can be your only means of survival, especially in the cutthroat world of ecommerce. Getting a high search engine ranking can be very difficult. Fortunately, there are a lot of website promotion strategies you can use to drive traffic to your website.

It’s a common business notion that if you want to make money, you have to spend money. One good way of spending money for business gain is through advertising. Advertising brings in the people because through advertising, they know that there is such a company or product in existence. With the right type of advertising, you can see the spurt of traffic growth to your site. With a high volume of traffic to your website, even if only a small portion or percentage turns out to be buying customers, it is still a good average of profit generating income.

Numerous ways of advertising to drive traffic to your website has emerge on the internet and a lot of them are for free.  There are also a number of them who are considered as paid advertising.   Two of the most common forms of advertising are article marketing and using Google adwords which is a part of a Pay-Per-Click type of advertising, wherein you are charged when someone clicks on your ad.  Both are proven to drive traffic to your website however they still differ in being cost effective.

On this post, I’ll explain some pros and cons to both of these advertising methods.  Let’s start with article marketing.

Writing articles is one of the best web site promotion strategies you can use, and they can be very effective. How, you may ask, can writing articles help improve your web traffic? Read on…

1. You can reach more people. You can do this by submitting your articles to article directories such as ezine.com, articlebase.com, buzzle.com and a whole lot more.
2. Free Advertising. Submitting your articles to other websites presents an opportunity to advertise your website without paying exorbitant fees. Although you should avoid marketing language in your articles and make it informative and useful to your readers, you can always include your site’s link in the resource box. By writing excellent, original and relevant articles, you not only give your site exposure, you are also creating a good impression on your prospects.
3. Ideal for beginners. This is good for internet marketing newbies who doesn’t have the time to learn the do’s and dont’s of PPC.  This way, they can still drive traffic to their website without spending tons of money.

The disadvantage of article marketing is if you don’t know how to write a good and relevant content.  Even those who can write can experience writer’s block, wherein you can’t even think of anything to write.  It takes time and effort to produce a good and eye catching content.

Now, let’s move on to Google adwords

In using Google’s Adwords, you pay a certain fee depending on the number of keywords your ad is keyword sensitive to. When a user searches Google’s search engine for relevant words are shown as “sponsored links” on the right side of the screen, and sometimes above the main search results.

This method laser targets the traffic a site wants for their site. This also ensures that you are readily visible in the first page of a search result. Paying Google for this ad scheme ensures that your target group of people sees your ads. You drive your laser targeted traffic to your site which provides for their needs and wants. You can also be sure that you can meet their demands and needs.

Your chosen keywords will determine which content network shall feature your ad. The frequency of your ad shall also be determined by your allowed budget.

Now, obviously the downside of this is the cost.  Nowadays, it’s getting expensive to advertise using Google adwords as a lot of people are using it.  Some experienced internet marketers are branching out and using other resources that works like Google adwords but is cost effective. (I’ll discuss this particular method on other posts). Also, you will need to monitor each of your campaigns and track their performance because each click is costing you money.

Choosing the right method to drive traffic to your site boils down to how much time and effort you can spend on it and how much budget you have for it.  I suggest that if you are new with internet marketing and driving traffic to your site, it would be better to try the article marketing first and when you have enough earnings for using paid advertisement, then you try it out.  Just build your business slowly but surely!

How to Increase Traffic with Article Submission
Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Content is a necessity when it comes to internet marketing and visibility.

Creating unique and relevant content is one of the primary factors when it comes to increasing traffic to your site and eventually generating revenue.

So you are one hell of a writer who can whip up one good article with a very interesting content in just minutes, you’re a pro then.. BIG DEAL buddy!

However, knowing exactly what to do with it is another piece of the puzzle. Distributing content is one way for you to increase traffic, thus, increasing your search engine rankings and visibility.

Another factor that you would like to think about is submitting your content to article directories or posting your content to sites that are relevant to your market or posting it exclusively to your own website. Submitting your articles to directories will make it easy for your content to get more visibility and increase more traffic since most of these directories have higher page ranks than your own site.

Yes, they might be considered as the biggest article directories in the world. Yes, it is possible that several thousand people could read your article and yes a small percentage of them could click through and check out your backlink to your website. Regardless of all these great things, all you get is a few backlinks and oftentimes the links that you may have gathered from those sites may not be worth the effort.

If you want to self-publish, your own site may get the traffic solely on it’s own, but how much can you get on your own? Surely not as many as submitting your content to article directories can do.

One way to increase traffic to your own website is publishing on a larger and more visible site than your own, that carries contents relevant to what your site is all about. You have to look for sites with relevant readership! Example is when you have an article about losing weight, you can submit your articles to sites that talk about health and wellness. You don’t have to publish to a site directly in line with your niche. Just use sites that will have an interest to your topic, but doesn’t have much exposure to it.

Article submission to increase traffic to your site works but you just need to know how to play it right. Find sites that have a good standing and relevant readership and of course, this is the most important thing, always make sure that you have great content.
